The CDC recommends that anyone who has a preexisting condition, or is taking medication that weakens the immune system, may NOT be fully protected even after they, and people around them, are fully vaccinated and continue to exercise all precautions.

 

​As a TRC Chaperone you aren't aware of the medical history for each client and, for that reason, it is important to ask if your client prefers that you wear a mask before each interaction.  Clients may experience anxiety related to medical appointments, complying with their request to wear a mask is an easy accommodation to eliminate any additional stressors.
